PuddleJumper ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Andrew Bruce. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and services.
Information We Collect
Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name. We use this to create and manage your account.
Screenshots: When you use PuddleJumper to analyze ride offers, screenshots are sent to our servers for processing. Screenshots are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently. We extract offer details (pickup location, dropoff location, fare, distance, time estimates) to provide our analysis.
Offer History: We store anonymized records of ride offers you've analyzed, including pickup/dropoff areas (not exact addresses), fare amounts, and the recommendation PuddleJumper provided. We do not track whether you actually accepted or declined the ride. This data helps us improve our recommendations.
Driver Settings: We store your preferences including market definitions, green zones, red zones, and earning thresholds. This data is necessary to provide personalized recommendations.
Device Information: We collect basic device information (device model, operating system version, app version) for troubleshooting and improving app compatibility.
How We Use Your Information
- To analyze ride offers and provide accept/decline recommendations
- To remember your markets, zones, and preferences
- To show you earnings analytics and patterns
- To improve our AI models and recommendation accuracy
- To provide customer support
- To send important service updates (not marketing)
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate PuddleJumper:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication and user management
- Google Cloud: Backend processing and hosting
- Supabase (PostgreSQL): Database storage
- Mapbox: Map display and visualization
- Google Places: Address geocoding and location lookup
- ElevenLabs: Voice synthesis for audio responses
Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing their use of data.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
- Database access is restricted and authenticated
- Screenshots are processed and discarded, not stored
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties
Data Retention
We retain your account information and settings for as long as your account is active. Offer history is retained to provide analytics features. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
