Uber driver pay in Houston, after the car
Uber shows the fare. It does not show what is left after the miles. This chart uses offers logged in Houston, sets a cost per mile and an hourly line, and counts how many still cleared. Not rides driven. A day is included only if at least 5 offers were logged.
185 of 1419 offers (13%) cleared $16/hr at 35¢ a mile
44 days with offers, 2026-08-08 to 2026-10-27 (90-day window).
What is left after the car is paid for — not what Uber pays.
No offer data yet
35¢ is gas and wear. Slide it to zero to see the offers the way the cards showed them, with the car pretended free. The IRS rate of 72¢ also covers insurance and registration, which you pay whether or not you take the ride.

What Uber drivers actually keep per hour
Take the fare, subtract the miles at whatever your car really costs, and divide by the time the whole job took — the drive to the pickup as well as the trip. That is what you keep per hour. Set the two sliders above to your own numbers and the chart recounts every logged Houston offer against them.
Why the fare is not the hourly rate
A fare says nothing about how long it takes or how far you drive to earn it. Two offers paying the same can be twenty minutes apart in work and several dollars apart in cost. The car is paid out of the same fare, whether or not the card mentions it, which is why an offer that looks fine can leave very little behind.
What DSI means on an offer
DSI scores the middle offer against your line. 100 means it cleared. The green bars are the share of offers that reached 100. A day can sit near 100 and still clear almost none, because the line is the middle offer, not the count.
On a shift you get one offer and about ten seconds. This page needs a slider. PuddleJumper runs the same line on the live offer and says cleared or not, out loud, before you tap. Houston, last 90 days, from offers logged in the car — not rides driven.
PuddleJumper runs this check on the live offer, including your zones, before the 10 seconds are gone.
